Medical Clinic opens in Sak 'N Save Food Store to Provide Convenient, Affordable, Quality Healthcare

(Reno, NV) MedAisle Express Care, a walk-up medical clinic, is opening office #1 within the Sak 'n Save Food Store on Oddie and Silverada Blvd. in Reno. Affordable medical services, including treatment of minor injuries, common illnesses and conditions as well as physical examinations and vaccinations will be available conveniently located in a grocery store.

The clinic is staffed by physicians, physician's assistants and nurse practitioner and sees patients on a walk-in basis. The clinic is open seven days a week, Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Most visits last about 15 minutes, and prescriptions or over-the-counter medications can be purchased before leaving the store.

MedAisle Express Care aims to provide a service that many Northern Nevadans have found lacking in our area – namely, affordable health care with convenient hours, excellent customer service and a well-qualified staff.  Medical insurance, including St. Mary’s Health Plans, Great West, Medicare and Medicaid and others, are accepted, but not required. MedAisle Express Care is affiliated with St. Mary's Catholic Healthcare West. MedAisle Express offers most services for all patients aged 18 months and older for a nominal fee of $59, 1/3 the price for a common ailment visit as compared with other clinics in the area. This is the first company to open a retail medical clinic, otherwise known in the industry as Convenient Care Clinics, in Northern Nevada.  The Retail Medical Clinic concept began in 2000. Several companies in the industry currently operate about 700 such clinics in retail stores such as Wal-Mart, Target and Rite-Aid located in 40 states.

“Sak ‘N Save currently has a bank, post office and a pharmacy. Adding a medical clinic to the store is a great move for the convenience of our customers,” said Dennis Lundbom, Director of Marketing for Sak ‘N Save Food Stores.

“MedAisle Express Care is bringing a convenient and affordable health care solution to the community. We offer low cost quality health care to anyone with or without insurance. The clinic is a walk-in clinic and the visits average 15 to 20 minutes. Consumers have spoken out against the rise in health care costs, we have developed a solution. We have reduced the costs and made the location convenient by placing our healthcare clinics in grocery stores, a place people visit often. Pharmacy’s and banks have been locating branches in grocery stores with success, the timing is right for our convenient medical care facility to do it as well,” said Wes Granstrom, CEO, MedAisle Express Care.

MedAisle Express Care will be opening additional clinics in grocery stores throughout Northern Nevada in the coming months. For more information visit Sak 'N Save food Store on Oddie Blvd. and Silverada.
