What exactly is MedAisle Express Care? MedAisle Express Care is a walk-in medical clinic that can treat many common illnesses and conditions as well as administer select vaccines and even give school, camp and sports physicals. MedAisle Express is not a primary care provider, so we cannot treat you for chronic or complicated conditions and illnesses. Our clinics are staffed by physicians as well as a team of skilled and certified Physician Assistants who have advanced medical training which allows them to diagnose and even prescribe medication for many common medical problems. At MedAisle express, we do not take appointments and we treat patients strictly on a walk-in basis. In addition, we do not require our patients to fill out an application in order to be treated at MedAisle Express-we merely require that the patient be 18 months of age or older and that the care the patient needs be within the scope of care provided at our facility. We do not require that our patients have insurance (although we do accept some select insurance plans) and we even offer a discounted cash pay rate for patients who may not be insured or choose to pay cash at the time of their visit. Where are you located? We currently have one location open inside Sak’N Save at 1901 Silverada Boulevard in Reno. We are located in the west part of building near the pharmacy and Wells Fargo. What are your hours of operation? We are open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Do you take my insurance plan? Currently, MedAisle Express Care accepts all Saint Mary’s Health plans, Great West, Universal Health Network, Medicare and Medicaid. However, if you have an insurance plan that we do not accept, you can be treated as a “cash pay” patient and then request a copy of your bill which you can then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Can you still bill my insurance company if I don’t have my insurance card with me at the time of the visit? No. You must have your insurance card and a valid ID with you at the time of the visit in order for us to bill your insurance company. If you do not have your insurance card and a valid ID, we can still treat you, but only as a “cash pay” patient. Can you refill my prescriptions from other physicians? No. MedAisle Express Care does not refill prescriptions from other physicians. In addition, if you have a chronic illness such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes you should see your primary care provider for refills and follow up care. How much does it cost? The discounted cash pay price for most services is only $59 per item. If your provider recommends any additional services during your visit, such as any diagnostic testing, you will be advised as to the cost before the service is provided. What is a Physician Assistant? Physician Assistants (Pas) are licensed health professionals who practice medicine with physician supervision. As part of the physician/PA team, PAs exercise autonomy in diagnosing and treating illnesses. PAs deliver a broad range of medical and surgical services to diverse populations in both rural and urban settings throughout the United States. Their focus is patient care, and their practice may include education, research and patient administration activities. In most states, PAs can treat patients and write prescriptions when a physician is away from the practice. Do I have to fill out an application to qualify to be treated at MedAisle Express Care?
